Center Giving Day

The Center’s mission  grows from within a “rich soil of relationships.”  We thrive on giving ourselves to others which, in turn, generates the same desire in those with whom we associate.  We are called to ministry that builds the kingdom of God. We long for all people to know Jesus Christ and to know the whole peace of Christ. Others join with us in praying, volunteering, financially supporting and becoming part of this journey. We invite you to partner with us through your prayers, work, and financial gifts.

Center Giving Day

The  Center has participated for a number of years in a  regional fundraising event that draws attention to the work and needs of nonprofits across North Texas.  We, along with hundreds of organizations, have benefited from this increased exposure. The link to the Baptist Center for Global Concerns' 2023 North Texas Giving Day page is listed below.

Many of our donors, however, give through other avenues, which we greatly appreciate! We have provided  convenient links to those areas below.

As always we thank you for your financial support.  We feel led to set a goal that only prayer and God's blessings will enable us to reach. The amount is $300,000. Please read the paragraphs below that describe the need for such a goal.
This year the event will be held on:

Thursday, September 21, 2023

(Early giving begins September 1)

Current Giving Opportunities for the Center

This year, the Center seeks financial support for total ministry needs. Our new facility has opened the way for us to broaden our "Peace Initiatives" for which we have long planned. Your support will  provide for the needs of hungry women and their children, much-needed educational training for the underserved, as well as lay ministry training for men and women who are called to serve Christ in various roles.

The Center's Mary's Table™ ministry impacts lives in a direct and profound way. At each Mary's Table™, each woman participates in a session that teaches healthy cooking and nutrition. She receives a week's supply of groceries: 70 items of food, in the categories of canned, boxed, and other packaged goods, frozen meat and vegetables, dairy items, fresh produce, and bread. Each participant receives 98 pounds of groceries, which are packed into a large storage container and three separate tote bags then loaded into her vehicle. Each Mary's Table™, we purchase, sort, pack, and load 1,077 pounds of food items. Since we began in 2012, the Mary's Table™ ministry has now distributed more than 11-plus tons of food. Each woman participant also receives an apron and a recipe book filled with healthy menu items for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks.

Mary's Table for Children, a community service project, provides underserved children with instruction in good nutrition, healthy dental hygiene, and ways to cultivate spiritual health. The children learn hands-on how to make healthy meals and snacks. They also learn and practice good dental hygiene with the help of a dental hygienist. We focus on each child's total health—body, mind, and soul. Our overall goal is to enhance the dignity of each child.

Our CenterPlace education platform has been successful in training underserved men and women for their various fields of Christian service, which includes advanced academic theological degree preparation, ministry equipping, and continuing education for people to serve as church and community change agents here in the United States and overseas. Additionally, we also provide scholarship assistance for  graduate and postgraduate ministry students here in the United States.

The Center is also involved in Global Partnerships. The Center has aided the equipping of  hundreds of graduate and post-graduate students since 2015. We began a new partnership in March 2022 with the All Africa Baptist Fellowship to create, implement, and sustain masters- and doctoral-level degree theological training in French-speaking Africa. This new initiative will enable ministry equipping in strategic areas that have identified as critical.

The Center's Forward by Prayer emphasis provides a way for people to pray, and then give as God leads toward the second phase of our remodeling project. We greatly appreciate the prayer and financial support that was shown throughout Phase I, and we look forward to God's continued provision.
